Hand trimming wood wick of a small batch clean burning candle from Will House Studio for optimal fragrance

TRIM YOUR WICK

KEEP YOUR FLAME IN CHECK

The cleanest and safest way to burn your candle is to trim the wick each and every use. Trimming prevents your candle from sooting, keeps the flame height in check, and will give you a more even burn.

To get a close cut, use a wick trimmer or a nail clipper!

WAX POOL

PREVENT  TUNNELING

Allow the wax to melt all the way to the edge of the vessel — this prevents tunneling and wax buildup along the sides. Our candles are slow-burning, so it takes about 1.5–2 hours to achieve a full melt pool. Only light your candle when you know you’ll have a few hours to enjoy it!

If the flame seems too high or container too hot, simply extinguish the flame, let cool, trim the wick, and restart!
